Shruthi Shuddhi
An experiential live workshop for high performers and ambitious but burnt out individuals
Let’s bring music into our lifestyle rather than wait for a mental ailment to remind us of the efficacy of it.Â
Perhaps This Sounds Familiar
May be you’ve tasted the joy of connecting with music as a child but life happened – career, family life and responsibilities kept you busy and may be that’s why you put your child into music, knowing the benefits of what it can bring.
But now, this very process makes you want to reconnect with music. Maybe you want to sing again with your child or want a grounding practice routine you could latch on to, after a hectic day at work or simply jam with your friends singing your favorite songs and “Smule” away. Yet for some reason, taking that first step still feels difficult.
If any of this resonates with you, I understand. Because I was that person too. I won’t bore you with my story but here’s for the curious mind!
The hesitation is relatable
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had moms and high performing engineers walk to me and ask – “Do you teach adults?”Â
I’d cracked my way into the insider’s journey, and with all the newly found fulfillment, I was ready to share this with the world and my answer to them has always been a resounding – YES! Sadly though, after watching people struggling to commit to this process fully, my excitement started dwindling away until I fully stopped taking adults as beginners. This contradicted my core mission to help adult voices find their song and show them the path I’ve travelled.Â
Shruthi Shuddi is an outcome of that quest in me to find a lasting, practical solution for grown-ups to pursue music in a way that’s truly enjoyable, therapeutic from Day 1 and a process that actually works. Only when you see real progress in your journey, will you even try to make it part of you! Trust me, when music becomes your companion, it stays with you until your very last breath!
Shruti Shuddhi is a week-long intensive rooted in Indian classical music — designed to awaken your vocal instrument, quiet your mind, and give you a daily practice that lasts a lifetime.
WHAT IS THIS
Shruti means to listen. Shuddhi means to purify.
Ear Training
Listening is the foundation of all music. You will learn to hear the way musicians do — with full body attention, not just ears.
Vocal Tuning
Your voice is an instrument. Like any instrument, it needs to be tuned before it can sing. We tune yours from the ground up.
Breath & Body
Classical singing is a full-body practice. Every session improves lung capacity, posture, and the quality of your breath.
Quiet mind
Focus is built into music. When you learn to sustain a swara, your inner chatter simply has nowhere left to live.
Why sing it, not just listen?
Listening to beautiful music is wonderful. But it remains an external source — the sound travels through air, and most of the vibration dissipates before it reaches you.
“When you generate sound from within, the vibrations travel through your bones. The experience is of a different quality entirely — more intense, more personal, more yours.”
Yogis have called this Nada Yoga — union with the ultimate through sound. You don’t have to aspire to that. But even a 20-minute daily practice becomes something you genuinely look forward to.
WHAT YOU GAIN
The effects of daily practice
Measurable stress reduction
Sustained vocal practice stimulates the vagus nerve and directly lowers cortisol levels. Check your blood pressure before and after a session — the difference shows up in minutes.
Stronger lung and better sleep quality
Within a few months, lung capacity increases noticeably. The mental organisation that happens during practice also means you arrive at bedtime in a quieter state.
Focus that spills into everything else
Classical music won’t flow if your attention wanders — so focus becomes automatic. People notice they become better listeners at work, sharper in meetings, more present at home.
Creativity that comes back online
Most adults stop being creative. Ragas are endlessly generative — just a few fundamentals are enough to keep you creatively engaged and challenged for a lifetime.
Confidence in your own voice
The hesitation most people feel about singing isn’t a lack of talent — it’s that their voice was never tuned. Once you tune it, the trust returns naturally.

THE 7 DAYS
Shruthi Shuddhi - 7 Day Bootcamp Structure
DAY 1: All about Shruthi
Learn about the ingredients that factor into singing pitch perfect and the health benefits of singing in tune! Meeting your voice as an instrument and learn how to tune it first!Â
DAY 2: Meet the Ragas
Ragas are something that we hold as the most supreme when it comes to Indian Classical Music. They teach us how to emote, express and connect.
DAY 3: Rhythms & Mathematics – Talamatics
There’s more the Indian Rhythms than just time keeping. Learn the mathematics behind one of the most sophisticated rhythmic systems in music.Â
DAY 4: Art of Listening
“Carnatic” listerally means “through the ears”. Increase your perception and ability to listen like a musician – a skill that’s fundamental and yet the most under-emphasized.Â
DAY 5: Making your practices effective
We bust age-old myths around adult learning. We simply learn differently. Learn to leverage your strengths as an adult and learn like an engineer.
DAY 6: Understand your brain and neuroscience behind how we learn
It’s all about getting you set up for success with whatever you take up – not just music. Whether you’re learning a new skill or want to be more organized, get things done no matter how busy you are and still have time at the end of the day.
DAY 7: Take it to the next level – a life long companion
This is just the beginning! Music is an ocean and the more you learn, the more you realize you know so little! Wouldn’t it be nice if someone gave you a map and showed you how to continue your journey? Not just that, how awesome would it be if there’re others at your level, traveling with you!
